g-1 eBook on the go readers rejoice! It looks like we’ve got some pretty positive information that the second generation of the Kindle will be hitting shelves in the near future.

After an interview with Business Week, Amazing cleared the air on a few things regarding the original Kindle and even posted up a nice $100 discount off of the original system. The new system, which has already been designed with a better screen, thinner body, and more solid overall operating system, should be coming along soon enough to fill in once the older models have been more thoroughly sold.

The price point for the new Kindle is sitting in the $249-299 and should be available for eBook fanatics sometime this fall.

7-28-08-60gb Rumors have turned into reality as the 60GB Xbox 360’s are starting to enter the retail world. Anywhere from Amazon to Circuit City seem to be getting at least indications that they’ll be receiving them in the upcoming weeks, but there isn’t much to go off of as to an official over all release.

Microsoft’s Major Nelson has stated that there isn’t going to be an over all launch for the 60GB’s, they’ll just slowly trickle their way out and become common place on the store shelves. Unfortunate for those hunting for them, who care for everyone else.

Amazon’s Kindle E-BookAmazon was excited to release their new Kindle e-book – hoping that it would bring in consumers who were looking to enjoy a book the futuristic way. Hacker Igor Skochinsky decided to take on the new Kindle as his new project and was able to reverse the engineer of the DRM – which has enabled the e-book to read Mobipocket books.

It was a simple hack that only required the DRM files to be compatible with the Kindle through the use of Python scripts. One script is used to create a PID code off of the e-book’s serial number – which than allows the Kindle to take you on to different sites to buy their books. The other script has the ability to convert the Mobi books into the AZW format from Amazon. Read the rest of this entry…
