If you have ever taken a baby’s temperature you know how difficult it can be. Wouldn’t it be easier to just pop a pacifier into the baby’s mouth? Well here is the answer to the temperature issue: the infant pacifier thermometer. This works just like a thermometer with the ease of a pacifier. You simply turn the pacifier on, pop it into the baby’s mouth and wait for it to beep.
The pacifier also comes with a red or green alert color that will make seeing an important temperature easy to see. This great gadget also comes with its very own carrying case.

If you have kids then you know how uncomfortable they look when the fall asleep in the car during a long car ride. Their neck is bent in an odd position and you know that when they wake up they will undoubtedly be very cranky because their neck hurts. For years parents have searched for a way to keep their heads up so the child can remain in a seat belt.
That is when some smart manufacture came out with the head cushion pillows. It wraps around your neck and settles on your shoulder to keep your head and neck from going in a painful position. Now companies are coming out with cushion pillows that are ideal for children. What could be better than a pillow that keeps your head up and looks like your getting a big hug from your favorite teddy bear? I’m sure your kids will agree they are great!

The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) had issued the call for a ChemBot and it looks like iRobot is up for the challenge. The idea is that this proposed robot will be able to identify its surroundings and avoid obstacles, having the ability to enter through openings smaller than its normal form. The robot will of course need to be able to collect intelligence as well to be even remotely worth the effort.
iRobot isn’t exactly new to the robot making industry, so in creating these flubber like creatures, they’ve enlisted the assistance of some of the great minds over at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The idea is to combine advanced actuator technologies and chemistry to create something more than a pile of goo that can actually accomplish the tasks that DARPA is looking for.
Just imagine how clean your house will be with one of these things.

Looking for a new Hybrid car? Come 2010 Toyota will be launching Hybrid cars equipped with Lithium-ion batteries, allowing you to plug your car in. The idea has been discussed for quite some time, and even as soon as next year, Prius’s will be running on NiMH batteries. But come 2020, Toyota plans to run ALL their cars this way.
But Toyota isn’t just looking to pump out a plug in car, they’re also working with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co to develop a superior version of the Lithium-ion batteries for their cars. Are Hybrids the answer to high gas prices or just a hold over?

Running for upwards of $70, this fancy little head rest is capable of taking a regular headphone jack line in from any device you want to plug into it. No more worries about you falling asleep with your headphone and strangling yourself like dear old mom always use to warn of. Now you can simply close your eyes and bury your face into the wonderful music coming directly from your speaker. That is, unless you like bad music.

Lumeta’s PowerPly solar panels are just the thing for those of us who want to “go green”, but can’t afford to get some house renovations done. The panels come complete with roofing adhesives so you don’t have to drive holes, and screw screws or anything. The anels have only been approved for commercial use, but are pending residential use. Let’s hope that they get approved, because I’d love to cut down on my electric bill while “going green” at the same time.
I’m also wondering if they will make smaller ones that will be able to power specific appliances, or a single outlet or something like that. That way, solar power will be even more affordable, and even practical. I’d certainly get a mini set for my computer and printer.

You can never keep your valuable sage enough because at the end of the day you need to have a key or a lock combination for opening your safe box; if you are anything like me who can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday then chances are that you have recorded the combination somewhere and that makes it possible to be stolen giving free access to your valuables to anyone. Thankfully, FrontGate made a biometric vault security safe with a lock that operates using your fingerprints. Now you have your keys with you at all times and you don’t have to worry about unauthorized access to your vault. Using flash memory, the biometric vault can store up to 50 fingerprints and a slick LCD display provides owners with valuable information while making the vault look futuristic and high-tech (which it is of course.) The biometric vault security safe will set you back $500.

For the working masses who don’t have sufficient time in the morning to prepare and eat a good breakfast, Philips has a solution that is sleek and efficient. The HD2618 toaster boasts 1200W of power to go with its anodised aluminium frame and digital controls. This toaster is probably more powerful than any other that I have ever seen but if you want your toast done quickly then this toaster is for you. The aluminum frame is corrosion resistant, scratch proof, and fingerprint resistant while the built-in LCD screen counts down the seconds before your toast is ready. I couldn’t find pricing information on the product web site but who cares about the cost when you can have your bread toasted perfectly in no time.
