It seems these days that the quality of an electronic device is not determined by the parts and quality it delivers, but whether or not it’s covered with crystals. Swarovski crystals, to be exact. If you are in need of a crystal encrusted camera to take with you to cotillions or charity balls, then you should look no further than the Mju 1040 by Olympus. It’s a limited edition camera which features a 10 megapixel shooter which is adorned with ninety-eight Swarovski crystals. The price for the camera is around $303 and will be available at the end of October.

The ever impressive line up of pocket video camera’s from the Flip Video series has yet to disappoint. With two previous models, the Flip Video and the Flip Video Ultra already a smash hit with those in the Real Estate Video world, it’s no wonder that their newest incarnation has already received so much attention.
The Flip Video Mino come packed with 2GB of storage, increasing the record time to a full hour, and is around 40% smaller than the Ultra. The price tag is pretty much where the Ultra premiered at as well, meaning that even with a price cut, the Mino will probably be the only solution worth checking out.
With a built in USB male adapter and software set to automatically upload any video you do to an assortment of different sites, make sure you pick up a Flip Video before the summer fun begins!

Microsoft has just announced a new web cam that is sure to turn a few eyeballs, and possibly more. The Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000 web cam, which is slated to come out in June is coming with a flexible base, so you can put it basically anywhere you want to. It will cost $50, and is a pretty good investment considering the picture quality will be much better than half of those integrated ones that come with the laptops.
In a shrinking external web cam market, look for this new addition to be a major player, and possibly the most popularly bought and used one come summer. Maybe some other brands will be jumping on the bandwagon as well, though.
