2 Crazy, But Unique iPhone Addons That Will Make a Splash for Christmas

phone

The day of gift giving is close at hand and we found two real smart phone items that make us go, “WTF?”, but would actually be a fun gift for Christmas if you know someone who takes life not too seriously.

First we have an iPhone 4/4S case. Okay, I know what you are thinking. What is unique about an iPhone case? Aren’t there like 50,000 of them? Yes, there are. But the question is not how many exist, but how many have a bottle opener? Yup, the OpenaCase will let you use your iPhone and pop open that beer or bottle of Coke you bought because you loved the Christmas ads on TV with the polar bears. Genius right? What college senior wouldn’t like one of these? Or that fishing buddy that lives next door? The price is a bit much for a case, coming in at around $40 in Australian and $38 or so in the US plus around $5 for international shipping, but it’s cool and that’s what matters. Keep in mind if you want one of these babies to stuff a stocking with, you’ll want to hurry, though, as they ship from Australia which requires a bit more time in the sending. You can find out more at OpenaCase’s website.

phone

Speaking of phones, do you have a friend or part of your family that is paranoid that the radiation from their smart phone might be melting their brain like eggs on a frying pan? If so, this might be a good gift to give them piece of mind and have a little fun doing it. As the debate goes back and forth about whether phones cause cancer or not, many people have taken up using a headset to avoid having the phone directly near their face and brain which is probably not a bad idea just in case. But another thing that people tend to use headsets for is to avoid having to hold onto the phone during long conversations when you might want to use both hands for something else. And while you could go the traditional route and buy a pair of headphone looking things with a mike, why not go retro and use the old receiver from a touchtone/dial home phone that people had (and still do). After all, don’t we all miss the sore shoulder from crunching it up for hours to keep it next to our ear and mouth? I know I do. And that’s why I’m giving the gift that will show I really care this Christmas and buying my friends an iMobifone for $24.95 for their smart phones (any phone with a headset jack). The best part is that I can customize the color to silver, pink, blue, red and black so that it will fit their ensemble, making them the toast of the town, or mistaken for a phone company tech that wears the handset on their belts. Either way, it will surely get a lot of looks and attention and maybe even allow them to meet new people without fearing for their mind’s health. What could be better than that? You can purchase one too at iMobifone.com.

Good shopping and happy holidays…
