There’s something traveling through the rumor mill surrounding the XBox 360.  Surprised?  I know you aren’t but this one is actually interesting.  The word is that, come 2009, we’ll see a completely different XBox 360 in terms of design.  The hardware will be completely retooled, much like the PS2 was when Sony did it.  The only thing that’s been confirmed so far is that Microsoft will use the Valhalla chip.  Microsoft hasn’t said anything about an external change, however, and probably won’t for a while.

The slim PS2 sold pretty well for a while, so maybe this will be a good fit, they might want to wait for a little while longer if they are going the slim route, though.  As people are still buying the fat ones at a good rate.
