Lenovo logoLenovo whom you might remember as the Asian company that purchased the Desktop and Laptop divisions from IBM a few years ago have managed to earn the EPEAT Gold qualification for more of their LCD computer monitors. Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) is a certification designating a piece of electronic equipment as environment friendly; I bet David Suzuki only uses EPEAT qualified devices. Lenovo’s new environmentally friendly monitors are the ThinkVision L151, L171, L171P, L194 Wide, L190X, L220X Wide, L174 and L197 Wide. Other than satisfying a large number of qualifications, the new ThinkVision monitors are also designed to have lower power requirements due to some clever engineering that does not sacrifice viewing quality. Look for the monitors to be available for purchase starting mid-April.
