Computer modding is for many people both a hobby and a passion. Those who take this hobby seriously know that getting the best performance from an overclocked CPU entails using the best equipment possible. Sunbeam Tuniq’s TX-2 thermal paste is one of the best thermal pastes in its class for computer modding applications.

For starters, thermal paste is used to improve the heat conductance between two adjacent surfaces such as the CPU (and/or GPU) and its heat sink. The easier that heat flows between the two, the better the CPU is cooled and the faster it can run. And the more frames per second you can get out of your favorite 3D, 3rd person shooting game.

That said, there are many different thermal pastes in the market today. As I explain next, however, the Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste stands out for a few important reasons.

First of all, the TX-2 has a high thermal conductivity and it does not conduct electricity (so you won’t get zapped if something goes wrong or, in the opposite case, accidentally fry your CPU because of static electricity in your body.) The paste is effortless to apply as it is designed to spread easily; after application, it requires nearly 200 hours to harden and achieve maximum performance. The paste’s small molecular size design allows for better contact between the CPU/GPU and heat sink increasing the TX-2’s thermal conductivity.

Carefully constructed experiments have shown that Tuniq’s new generation thermal paste is as good and in some cases better than offerings by other manufacturers including Arctic Silver and Akasa . If you are looking for a thermal paste alternative to the products offered by the latter two, then you should definitely give Tuniq’s thermal paste a try. The Tuniq TX-2 thermal paste is a quality product that should be an essential component in any computer modder’s arsenal.
