The CES show was full of surprises. One of them being the new Neo Freerunner. OpenMoko was happy with the success of their Neo 1973 cellphone that they have decided to branch out and create an even better model. Before putting the phone into the final production stage they will be shipping demo versions off to different developers to give their feedback and to work out any problems they come across.
Of course with a new phone you can expect a new look and new features which include, improved 500MHZ processor, WiFi (built in), 3D graphics processor, and motion sensors – which can read the users actions. The new phone is around the same size as the iPhone (only a little thicker) and uses the same UI that was used for the Neo 1973. We don’t have any information yet on when OpenMotto is expected to release the Freerunner.
