Inspiron 1525We were looking forward to seeing the new Inspiron 1525 from Dell this year – but as with most gadgets this year it has been pushed back leaving us just a little bit disappointed. At least that was until we were able to get our hands on some information and specs of what to expect from the new laptop. It seems that Dell’s Australian site leaked some information for us and we have to say that the computer doesn’t look as impressive as we thought it would be. The good thing about the computer is that it will only cost us $1,228. Read the rest of this entry…

Optimus TactusFor those of you who are familiar with the Optimus Maximus keyboard it’s time to prepare yourself with the new Optimus Tactus. This new keyboard is based on touch sensors and is 4 times more advanced than the Optimus Maximus. It allows you to do your normal tasks plus it can play movies and your favorite music. The new keyboard may be large – but it is definitely one worth looking at. Right now it is only a concept – but we’re hoping that someday it may make it to production. If only to test it out once to see if it is really worth using.

MPillow

Some people have trouble sleeping when there are noises of soft music or sounds of nature to sing you to sleep. With the MPillow you can sleep on a comfortable pillow that is also an MP3 player. This means that you no longer have to set up your stereo system to play all night and you don’t have to worry about running up your electricity bill.

The MPillow allows you to wirelessly pull the music off of your computer or off the MPillow server. If that wasn’t enough it also has light that will soothe you and can change colors with the music. Whether or not the high tech pillow will be put into production hasn’t been decided.

Cowon N3

The just announced, Cowon N3 PMP has DivX/Xvid support, GPS has a 7 inch screen. It looks almost identical to their Q5 PMP but with a 2 inch larger screen. So besides the screen, what else is different? Well its also a GPS and has DMB abilities. Another major difference would be the fact that the N3 does not have any internal memory but rather uses two built in SDHC slots. In any event TGB is looking forward to getting a hand on with this unit.

Phone Book GiftThis Christmas the gift that everyone wanted was a gaming console. When these parents saw that there were absolutely no Wii’s to be had they opted to buy their son a PS3 instead. So they bought the game from the nearest EB Games store, wrapped it, and then placed it under the tree. They were so excited when there son opened it to see his reaction. Unfortunately all they saw was a big yellow phone book that had been put in there to replace the PS3 that used to be there.

It seems that this is not an uncommon occurrence. But usually this kind of thing only happens to people who buy off of eBay. The fact that it happened to one at an electronic store makes everyone worry as to what they are really buying. Are suggestion is that you open the box immediately when you get home (or to the car) and make sure that what you are feeling is what you bought.

Dell XPS m1530Dell makes some of the best laptops than any other manufacturer. They usually always offer the best that you can possibly have along with great quality and an affordable price. That is why we were surprised when we noticed the screen resolution of the XPS m1530 was only 1280×800 display – which as we all know isn’t the best that Dell can offer.

Dell seemed to have noticed the disappointment emanating from its loyal consumers and has ade changes to rectify the situation by adding two more resolutions for consumers to choose from. Consumers can get the 1440×900 for only $50 and the WSXGA+ 1680×1050 for $150.

Wii SportsMany of us think that playing the new Wii is an exercise that works out all of those arm muscles to the core. So many of us aren’t feeling any guilt if we don’t go outside as much or do our usual exercise routine. Unfortunately that guilty feeling is about to make its way back to us.

Researchers have studied the effects of the Wii has on our muscles and they have come to the conclusion that it is not a proper work out. Most of the sport games that people play on Wii – which require fast movements – burn only 2% more calories than those who sit around playing on their Xbox 360. So it’s time to start in on those routines again and play a few real sports.
